Lawrence Oliver III has had a passion for art ever since he was young. Watching art shows on television inspired him to make his own work. Oliver primarily creates sculptures using drywall shims, papier-mâché, clay, wood glue, masking tape, and paper and poster board. He is interested in making functional sculptures. As a child, Oliver was fascinated by weeds and plants. Today, he mimics nature in his art. He is interested in the connections between the things creating personal stories. He likes it when people find joy in looking at his work.
