Love and Peace Requires Death and Destruction by Key
24" x 18" abstract painting
Keyana “Key” Scott is a black queer artist based in Chicago, IL who creates primarily with paper on paper collage, paper on canvas collage, and other mixed media. Currently, their works center around a surrealist imagination with a focus on creating visual stories that challenge the elements of our everyday world. Drawing and painting have also dominated their work as they have looked to color and marks in abstraction to process and heal from trauma and life’s stressors. They create to connect with their audience and inspire contemplation of various ideas.
